Important information regarding COVID-19

Notice: Temporary Closure for indefinite period

Update | March 15, 2020, 4 p.m.

Following new recommendations from the public health department, and in your best interests, Nordik Spa-Nature will temporarily close its doors at 11 p.m. this evening (March 15, 2020) for an indefinite period of time to contribute to the collective efforts in limiting the spread of COVID-19.  

As such, all reservations (including access to the thermal cycle, massages, and body treatments) are suspended until further notice. If you have an upcoming reservation, it will be cancelled automatically without any additional action required on your part.  

As the fight against COVID-19 affects us all, we invite you to stay up to date on the latest developments to help reduce the risk to yourself and those around you.

At heart, my priority has always been to provide you with a safe space where you feel free to escape the pressures of modern life and focus on your health and well-being.

Faced with the current stressful situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), I want you to know that we care deeply about the well-being of our guests, employees, and our community at large. As such, I am taking recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada and provincial health authorities very seriously.

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you just some of the many preventative measures we are implementing to create an environment that is safe and secure for everyone.

What we are doing 

  1. Cleanliness: First, we are taking extra measures with our cleaning protocols as well as modifying our experiences in accordance with medical precautions
  2. Access to the site: We are closely monitoring guests and employees alike for symptoms. Anyone who has symptoms or knows someone who is unwell will be asked to return home, thus creating a safe environment for all
  3. Social distancing: We are significantly reducing the capacity of the spa and removing tables from our restaurants to keep our guests at a safe, one-meter distance from one another. We ask our guests to respect the one-meter distance throughout the spa
  4. Cancel any time: Finally, we are lifting our cancellation policy. If you or someone you know feels unwell, we invite you to cancel or reschedule – free of charge and no questions asked. You can do this at any time, including on the day of your reservation simply by responding to your confirmation email.

Preventative Measures at Nordik Spa-Nature

The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. We are committed to providing a reassuring and secure environment for both our guests and employees alike. We are monitoring the situation closely and continue to be in touch with experts for the most up-to-date information.

Given the recent developments concerning COVID-19, Nordik Spa-Nature would like to inform you of the concrete measures implemented on the site following the directives of the federal and provincial health authorities:

Cleanliness

  • Routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces is an effective way to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Nordik Spa-Nature uses quality cleaning products and disinfectants. We are cleaning and disinfecting surfaces with increased frequency, paying particular attentionto doors, counters, and all surfaces touched by both employees and guests.
  • Between each massage and body treatment, all frequently touched surfaces in the room are disinfected.
  • More hand sanitizing stations have been made available on site for our guests.
  • We have added signs throughout the spa to remind our guests and employees to wash their hands often, with soap and water, for a minimum of 20 seconds.

Social Distancing 

  • We have significantly reduced the capacity of guests we will allow into the spa.
  • We encourage our guests to leave a one-meter distance between each other throughout the spa.
  • Our restaurants have been reconfigured to create more distance between our guests.

Access to the Spa and Experiences 

  • Guests exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 will be refused entrance to the spa.
  • Our employees have been instructed to stay home if they feel any symptoms.
  • We have cancelled our Aufguss rituals and Banyä treatments until further notice. These have been replaced by essential oil infusions for the time being.

Cancel Any Time

We have lifted our cancellation policy for all reservations. If you or someone you know is feeling unwell, we invite you to cancel or reschedule your reservation free of charge and no questions asked. This can be done any time, even on the day of your reservation.
