Find comfort this winter

Find comfort this winter

  • February 17, 2020

I always find the last few months of winter to be the hardest. The shine of the holiday season is long gone and even though I know spring is just around the corner, it still feels like winter is never going to end. But this year I’m resolving to indulge in these quiet months where everything is blanketed in snow and the world seems to move a little slower. A trip to the spa is the perfect way to discover the little joys of the season. Here are three ways to find comfort this winter.

1 – Wrap yourself up in a heated hammock

This is the perfect way to enjoy the cold weather without sacrificing comfort! Imagine gently swaying back and forth during a snowfall, wrapped up in the warm hug of a hammock. You take deep breaths of the fresh, invigorating air and feel snowflakes land softly on your face – all while completely warm from head to toe in your cozy cocoon. Wintery bliss.

2 – Read a book by the fire

One of my favourite ways to unwind is to head to one of the Kalmeo relaxation pavilions with a book. Curled up by the fire (and under a heat lamp) I’m toasty and snug, but I still have a beautiful view of the winter landscape. Located in the silent section of the spa, this is the perfect place to get lost in a good read. I can literally stay tucked away in these pavilions for hours!

3 – Invite your friends for an evening out

Is there anything more comforting than catching up with good friends? Reimagine your typical happy hour and stop by the Panorama Lounge for charcuterie and chats. Kick your feet up on one of the sofas, enjoy a glass of wine and some Quebec cheeses, and reconnect with the people you love most. Then, keep the conversation going as you head over to the infinity pool to take in a breathtaking view of the snowy region in the warmth of the water.

Bonus – Bring the spa home!

As you wrap up your spa visit, make sure to stop by our boutique and pick up one of our candles, scented with essential oils. The next time you’re enjoying a cozy winter night in, transport yourself back to the spa with the scent of eucalyptus, orange, or lavender!
