For Ritual Artisan Cori-Anne Parent, who joined the team about six months ago, the inspiration for her autumn ritual came from the season itself. Her creation, Turning a New Leaf, explores the art of letting go and embracing what’s next.

‘Watching the leaves change and fall reminds me how nature lets go to make space for new growth,’ she says. ‘That cycle of release and renewal is what this ritual is all about.’

Through scent, sound, and movement, Cori-Anne’s ritual echoes this natural rhythm: starting bright and airy, deepening into warmth and comfort, and ending in quiet reflection.

A Story of Renewal

The essence of Turning a New Leaf is renewal, both in nature and within ourselves. Inspired by the changing trees, Cori-Anne designed the ritual to represent life’s continual cycle of release and rebirth.

‘It’s about letting go of the past and stepping into a new era,’ she explains.

A Soundtrack for the Season

Music plays a central role in Cori-Anne’s Aufguss. Her selection guides guests through the emotional arc of autumn, from gentle introspection to empowered release.

The ritual begins with Je te laisserai des mots by Patrick Watson: a tender song that evokes stillness and nostalgia. It’s followed by Somewhere Only We Know by Rhianne and Like a River by Ocie Elliott, both of which carry a soft, emotional flow.

Finally, Season of the Witch by Lana Del Rey brings a mystical and confident close, a nod to October’s magic and the energy of transformation.

Each track is paired with movement: soft, sweeping gestures at first, then stronger, more expressive motions that mirror the rhythm of the changing season.

A Symphony of Scents

Cori-Anne’s choice of essential oils follows the same journey as her music: beginning bright and uplifting, moving through warmth, and ending in grounding calm.

Sweet orange and lemon open the ritual with uplifting and cheerful energy—like a fresh start.
Cinnamon and clove capture the spicy warmth of pumpkin spice, invoking the comforting aromas of autumn.
Swiss stone pine and lavender conclude the experience with a soothing woodland aroma, reminiscent of fallen leaves and the last flowers of the season.

‘The sequence mirrors the progression of autumn,’ she explains. ‘It starts bright and lively, moves into comfort, and finishes calm and grounded.’

Perfectly Autumnal Moments

For the cold plunge, Cori-Anne recommends the Temper bath at 21 °C: ‘t’s not too cold, just reminiscent of a crisp autumn day.’ For rest, she suggests grabbing a hot tea and settling under the trees or by a fire to reflect and soak in the atmosphere.

To her, this is what makes Turning a New Leaf the perfect fall ritual: the harmony of scents, music, and movement coming together to embody autumn’s essence.

‘It brings together all the key elements of the season: warm lights, comforting aromas, and a story of transformation,’ she says.

Cori-Anne’s creativity doesn’t stop with fall. She’s already working on new concepts, including a winter ritual and an ambitious project that captures all four seasons in a single ritual!
