Sometimes, life is a little easier when someone has the answers. Meditation is similar. Today, we invite you to enter this world and partake in a guided meditation. Sit back, relax and allow us to guide you.

What’s a Guided Meditation

Let’s start with the basics. What is meditation? Simply put, it’s a practice which involves quieting the mind using a combination of physical and mental techniques like deep breathing and visualization.
Guided meditation is meditation done with the assistance of a facilitator who can help you take the guesswork out of the experience.

Meet Your Guide

Meet Megan, your facilitator in all things guided meditation for the day: “I am one of the Rituals Artisans here at Nordik Spa Village. I started my own meditation journey privately back when I was in high school, doing a lot of yoga. And then I had the opportunity to really expand my practice coming here and doing proper meditation training. I had the opportunity to start with concentration meditations and then move into visualization.
I would say my approach to guided meditation is more intuitive than anything, really feeling and being in the present moment is super powerful, and it’s something that I get to share with others.”
The Benefits of Guided Meditation

Meditation allows you to “stay in the present moment. A lot of people, myself included, tend to be overthinkers, guided meditation is something that we can completely surrender to. Through breath work and visualization, we can reconnect with parts of ourselves that maybe we’ve set aside, and it really allows us to come back to ourselves in this moment, wherever we’re at in life.”
How Can I Meditate

Our Guided Meditation

“For today’s guided meditation, we’re going to be leaning more into visualization as a journey.” Prepare to be one with nature, self-reflect, and compare the growth of flowers to your own personal growth.

“I think there is a bit of a misconception about meditation, that you have to have a clear mind—but meditation is a practice. It is something that you have to put time into to progressively get better at. It’s very human to have ideas and thoughts that were caught up on. If you find that you do take off on a different train of thought while you meditate, that’s perfectly normal. It happens to a lot of people. The best thing that you can do is reconnect to your senses, notice what you’re smelling, hearing, and feeling. Bring yourself back into the present moment.”
