Mindset hacks to make summer last longer
Have you ever noticed that once back-to-school is upon us, it feels like recess is over and everyone gets in an all work, no play mode? I believe this is just a state of mind… here’s how to make summer last a little longer!
Start a gratitude journal
Summertime makes us feel carefree and more relaxed. It’s just easier to enjoy and seize the little flashes of delight. Take time this month to reflect on those moments and write them down as a reminder for when routine becomes too overwhelming. When did you feel in your best mood? What did you do that gave you a boost of energy or, on the contrary, made you feel more relaxed than ever? Which activity allowed you to let go and be mindful?
Make more time to recreate these moments of happiness
It’s technically still summer, so there’s still time to enjoy it to the fullest. Anyways, who says we have to say goodbye to our little moments of happiness once the sunny season is over?
Try to recreate them as often as possible. A quick spa getaway with a loved one, a few hours to indulge in an activity that makes you feel good, or simply going outside to reconnect with nature.
Nature has so much to offer in September! Enjoy the great outdoors while the trees still have leaves, pick a nice autumn bouquet full of colourful flowers for yourself or indulge in nice flavourful herbs and earthy vegetables ready to be harvested from the garden.
