Learning to love fall
There are two types of people: those who are crazy about fall and those who see it as a time to get into cocooning mode. With the days getting shorter, the air getting cooler and the weather getting greyer, it’s normal to feel a little sluggish.
Autumn is a transitional period, and therefore a great reason to take advantage of it, as it will not last. Discover how to enjoy it!
Plan a Hike
Hiking is an excellent activity to appreciate all the beauty fall has to offer. Deep in the forest, take a deep breath of fresh air, while marveling at the beautiful colours of the leaves. With sun that is still warm and fresh air caressing your skin, your moral will soar.
Combine a hike in Gatineau Park, neighbours with the Nordik Spa-Nature, with a relaxing moment at the spa. A real motivation to finish your hike and pure joy for your muscles!
Take Advantage of Rainy Days
They are inevitable, therefore you might as well start to enjoy them. To make those grey, bleak days enjoyable, think about the little things that make you feel great. A rainy day becomes the perfect excuse to look after yourself. A nice cup of tea, a comforting blanket, a warm bath, a thermal mud mask, a facial treatment, a book that has been dragging for months…it is so therapeutic and enchanting as well, and is the best gift you can give yourself.
Rediscover your Energy
At times, even a pumpkin spice latté is not enough to rejuvenate your energy. Although there is no miracle solution, it is possible to counteract the low energy levels associated with fall. In addition to naps and vitamin D supplements, start to follow the natural rhythm of the sun and take maximum advantage of the hours of sunlight to get outside. As tempting as it may be to sleep in when it is grey outside, set your alarm earlier and benefit from the fact that the days are getting shorter, which will result in you getting to bed quicker.
Seasonal depression will be much more tolerable this year!
Dare to feel better this fall. Make yourself the priority; it is the ideal time to give yourself a moment.
